Sole DXB Festival – Saluting Music And Footwear

by amc

Surely y’all know that I love a good festival and this one looks wicked, to say the least.

Sole DXB is a festival in their 5th year celebrating lifestyle, culture and fashion in Dubai. Hailed as the region’s premier event covering the best in footwear and culture, Sole DXB is returning bigger and better on November 18th and 19th to celebrate their 5th anniversary. The line up of brands who will be taking part in the extravaganza is insane. Besides the regular stalwarts Nike, Puma, New Balance and Adidas, they also have brand names like Stussy, Diadora, Fred Perry and Namshi joining the ranks.

Now as much as I am a fashionista, I am first and foremost a music head. The musical component of the festival definitely doesn’t go unnoticed. It’s a great balance of R&B, funk and hip hop with the likes of Dam Funk, BJ The Chicago Kid, UK’s own powerhouse Skepta and more. There is also a slew of sit-downs taking place with their Talks Programme. Trust when I say that there are way too many interesting ones to mention, but the Subculture and Style and Stretch Armstrong and DJ Clark Kent talks would be at the top of my list. Additionally, the culture will be reflected with the screening of Style Wars and of course, the iSneakerSwap. And what would this festival be without the Sole Ball Above All Classic game in partnership with Nike? It’s only right that you top off a festival of such grandeur with a sick ball game.

Brought to the masses by Pepsi, Vida Downtown Dubai, Cadillac, Dubai Design District, and Lenovo, Sole DXB looks like one of the premier destination festivals to get into. You have a serious representation for sneaker aficionados and a solid recognition of the culture — all interconnected with the musical sounds of hip hop and R&B. And blazing hot temperatures to boot. You can’t go wrong.

You can visit Sole DXB for more information about the festival. In the meantime, you can find them on their following social spots:
