****Update as of today: The new flyer is posted above. The show on Monday has been postponed and will be moved to Monday, November 26th, 2012.
**Please note: I have to mention that this post was written previous to Hurricane Sandy and the damage and toll it has taken on NYC. I do not want to come across insensitive in any way with this post. I will definitely be keeping everyone in the loop regarding the details of the show.

I am so honoured to be a sponsor for this fantastic show presented by Keya Maeesha in NYC!
The second and last time I saw Monica Blaire in New York City at Joe’s Pub, it went down as being one of the most memorable events on the indie soul calendar of 2009. People were talking about that show for a time after. Monica sashayed, strutted and sassed her way across the stage like it was nobody’s business. She is not only an artist but a performer. The Lady has a way with taking over all of your governing senses and rending them into silly putty. Monica totally envelopes you with her erotic and sensual vibes, while you’re entranced by her every lyric. And if you don’t believe anything I’m saying, just listen to “Make Love To Me” on Zo’s Sunstorm album. Yeah, she’s that spectacular. Have you had your Monica Blaire encounter as yet?
Nakia Henry is an intrinsic addition to the indie scene. I would say creativity and thought-provoking pieces are definitely what make Nakia stand out on her own. Her videos are imaginative pieces, that bring her lyrics to life. While her songs give you that oh so good feeling, with a touch of ethereal goodness on the side. I’ve been lucky enough to see Nakia perform twice, and on both occasions, she left me wanting for more. Creative artist, performer, and more all wrapped into one – that’s Nakia Henry.
Now, I’m not well versed on Nikki at all. However, in my digging, I’m already on her bandwagon with her fabulous rendition of Whitney’s “Run To You.” The tone in Nikki’s voice is rich. I love it. I would like to hear some original material from the lady, but if she can sing a cover like that, I think y’all are in for something special. Be good to her, NYC. According to her Twitter account, she’s nervous as all hell. And I quote, “I have been nervous as all shit about this show. Mainly because I know you n****s will rip me a new one if it’s not perfect.” You know NYC all too well, Nikki.
