Let me expose some of y’all to award-winning singer/songwriter Chelsea Stewart.
This young lady is making waves with her angelic voice, darling melodies and easy going rockers vibes. She has already shared the stage with Stevie Wonder and Bobbie McFerrin and opened shows for the likes of Mario and Beenie Man. She just completed her first EP entitled The Only One, which is a compilation of a few really cool acoustic tracks. Now, I don’t usually post about reggae on these pages, but I had to make the exception this round. Chelsea has a beautiful voice, and she easily transitions from reggae to R&B quite well. Not saying that it can’t be done, but it’s always nice to hear and is definitely worthy of a mention.
A couple of days ago, Chelsea did a quick rendition of one of my favourite Sade songs, “By Your Side.” It was ever so warmhearted and beautiful. I was kind of hoping she would’ve sung a little more. But alas, she wasn’t singing for me, was she? 🙂 The song was actually a request from her Mom for her birthday.
