It seems like I have been in giveaway mode for the past couple of weeks. Well, giving away prizes and tickets is plenty of fun, so why stop now?
This Thursday, November 21, 2013, a new live concert experience is coming our way here in Toronto. Tsaphiyn Group has come together to bring us live music courtesy of the band Quite Frank. Not only does Quite Frank sing soul and R&B, but they also sound phenomenal as they cover all genres of music from yesteryear – hence the name of the soiree being ‘Genres.’ The Tsaphiyn Group is very big on giving back to the community in any way that they can, always teaming up with a great cause to bring to your attention. This time, they have teamed up with MicroSkills Development Centre. MicroSkills is a non-profit organization that provides programming and assistance with settlement, employment, and self-employment services to individuals, with priority to the needs of immigrants, youth, visible minority people, and low-income women. I had attended Tsaphiyn’s first event months ago to get a taste of what they had to offer, and it was a fantastic night of entertainment. I basically danced a hole in my shoes to Quite Frank’s cover of ”Nasty Girl” by Vanity 6 – I was in the zone!
The one and only DJ Mel Boogie will be on the decks and the evening will be hosted by G98’s MC Linx. Not only will you be serenaded all night long, but the evening will be filled with giveaways from Tsaphiyn’s sponsors at Fossil, Mellycakes, iRepair (Toronto/Danforth) and more. Speaking of iRepair, I have a fantastic giveaway from them for my Toronto music lovers.
